"Travel
Writing Article Critique Service"

In response to a growing number of reader requests, we've launched
an article critique service whereby we'll review and critique pieces of travel writing
submitted to us by non-course students. If you yearn to be a travel writer but aren't sure
how far you've developed your skills and what more you need to learn, we can help you.
Submit your work to us and we'll give you detailed, constructive feedback.
We'll tell you what we like about your article, what we think can be
improved (together with suggestions for improving the piece) and our overall thoughts
about its saleability.
The fee for this service is US$47 for articles up to 1,500 words in
length. Article reviews will be carried out by tutors on our course The
Insider Secrets of Freelance Travel Writing, all of whom are working
travel writers. We aim to provide feedback within two weeks.
Here's how it works:
- Click on the "Click Here to Register for the Article Critique
Service" link below.
- Fill in your details on the form that appears and you'll be taken to
a page giving you instructions for sending us your article.
- Submit your article to us.
- We'll review your writing and provide you with feedback via e-mail.
Before you submit an article to us for
critique:
- Articles should be a maximum of 1,500 words in length.
- Don't worry whether you've written in American English or British
English - either is fine.
- Please number each paragraph in your piece. We'll use the same
paragraph references in our comments.
- Please carefully proof-read and spellcheck your work before
submitting it to us. It's a good habit to get into if you're aiming for a career in
writing and you can treat this as practice for submitting pieces to editors.
